She has always been interested in art and commenced her career as a press artist working in black and white for 26 years with The West Australian Newspaper. Dana had a great desire to venture into colour when she left the paper. She was incredibly lucky to have had Australian master painter Larry Mitchell as her first tutor and this is where she developed her love of watercolour.
