Throughout the months of September and October 2015, forty incredible kangaroo artworks were on display at The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery as part of a free family-friendly art exhibition supporting the important work of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation in keep children safe from violence and bullying.

Set amongst the picturesque Yarra Valley views at The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery the Hop for Hope exhibition showcased one-of-a-kind artworks designed and crafted by prominent Australian artists and celebrities.

Beautiful handcrafted donation boxes accompanied each kangaroo, adorning details of the artist, their concept and design. Visitors had the chance to vote for their favourite kangaroo by placing a gold coin in the donation boxes.

Votes were accumulated throughout the exhibition and tallied for a People’s Choice Roo to be announced in November. Keep your eyes peeled for this exciting announcement – coming soon!

More than 120,000 visitors attended the exhibition sharing the messages of hope, raising vital funds to support the Foundation.

An exciting online auction followed the exhibition, helping to take the total amount raised to more than $160,000, supporting children impacted by violence and bullying.
